We are pleased to announce that SFRR-Europe (SFRR-E) Travel Awards are now open for application to support PhD students and postdoctoral researchers attending the 2026 Annual Meeting in Mainz!

Travel Awards Overview

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a current member of SFRR-E or a recognized SFRR regional society.
• PhD students or postdocs within 5 years of PhD award.
• Not holding a permanent academic position.
• Not eligible if previously awarded:
  • SFRR-E Travel Grant to attend an SFRR-E annual meeting, or
  • SFRR-E Young Investigator Award, or
  • Travel grant to an SFRR-I meeting hosted by SFRR-E.

The number of awards will be determined based on scientific quality during the evaluation process.

Application Instructions

Please submit your application as a single PDF through the SFRR-E intranet by selecting “Travel Awards for SFRR-E Mainz” in the left-hand menu.

Your PDF should include:

1. CV (max 2 pages) — include your PhD start date or award date.
2. Motivation Letter — explain why you wish to attend the meeting.
3. Abstract intended for submission at the conference.

• Notification of Awards: Before 26 January 2026
• Abstract Submission Deadline: 26 January 2026

Awarded funds will only be transferred after proof of registration and abstract submission.
